Telecommunicators are the "First Responders" for emergency services.
Are you looking for a career that is diverse, fast paced, exciting,
and personally rewarding? Do you want to be a professional, and
make a difference in someone's life; in your life?
Emergency Telecommunicators don't just answer telephones and talk on
the radio. Telecommunicators are highly trained, and are the first point of
contact a caller with an emergency has.
Telecommunicators must quickly obtain and analyze information about an
emergency, then make split-second decisions on how to
appropriately handle the call. Telecommunicators actually are the first
responders, instructing callers on how bystanders and the caller
themselves can remain safe until help arrives. Telecommunicators also
provide medical instructions over the telephone to keep patients
stable and alive until an ambulance arrives.
Telecommunicators make a difference. If you want to go home at night
feeling good about yourself, we invite you to explore a career in
